Kart Krossover done right

Just came from holidays with a treasure in my hands: KART RACER’s four super-hero kart racing box. The characters involved (thanks China!) are: Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, Blue Spider-Man, Gold and flesh armour Iron Man and Ultraman. If only there was a comic tie-in …

Here some pictures for your enjoyment:

Gallery: Moebius does America

Still a bit short of time, but here’s some art for your eyes to feast upon … This time it’s no one other than Moebius and I am not even going to bother and try to write him up. You don’t know who it is, click on the wiki link. The one thing I will say, though, is that it’s a pity that we cannot expect to be surprised by guys like him or Kirby anymore … Also, that has to be the best-looking Iron Man ever.

A week of art (Spanish edition): Carlos Pacheco

There’s not much I can tell you about Carlos Pacheco that hasn’t been said before, originally from Spain he jumped from Marvel UK to the US and has worked on almost all the big titles and even published creator owned stuff. So, keeping that in mind, let’s take a look at his beginnings doing covers and pin-ups for Comics Forum (the Spanish publisher of Marvel comics during the 80’s and 90’s).

Here’s an assortment of his covers for Clasicos Marvel (a series that reprinted classic Marvel arcs). I guess most of you will have no problems to identify which arcs they are for:

And some other covers and pin-ups from other series:

Improbable crossovers

As you might have seen on the collage I posted a few posts ago with my collection of inter-company crossovers, I am a bit obsessed with them at the moment. The quality is generally very poor but there’s something inherently fun about them.

I would like to take this moment to call for a minute of silence to the following crossovers, which might never happen:

Except the one with Darkseid and Thanos, of course … It’s already happened!

And, as a bonus, the King wanted to join the party too:

A week of art: Aaron kuder

Time to highlight Mr. Aaron Kuder, already working for the big ones and with a great style that reminds the stylings of Frank Quitely or Tony Moore. Like the other artists featured this week, we can’t wait to see anything new that gets published …
